Jonelle Coletta Parker (Past Speaker)

Jonelle Parker was recently named the Vice President, Human Resources Major Markets at BMS, headquartered in Princeton, NJ. In this role, she will lead the Global Commercial HR function bringing strategic HR to over 10 large markets including Japan, Germany, France, UK, Ireland, and other European countries. Prior to this role, Jonelle was the Vice President of HR for Intercontinental Markets which spanned 5 continents and over 50 countries. Her responsibilities include creating and executing world-class strategies for talent management, employee engagement, change management and organizational design in support of both the Company’s HR Transformation & the pending BMS/Celgene integration.

Jonelle brings over twelve years of diverse and global HR experience, with three years at BMS, and extensive experience in business strategy development, organizational design, talent management, and team effectiveness across global business units. She has led and supported teams across North America, South America, Europe & Asia. In her BMS tenure, Jonelle has been critical to the success of major initiatives including the BMS R&D Transformation and the design and implementation of the enterprise BMS Global Oncology Talent Strategy.

Prior to joining BMS in 2016, Jonelle held multiple roles within GE Healthcare Life Sciences, a global GE business headquartered in London, UK. She led the Life Sciences Organization & Talent Development Organization for three and a half years, directly partnering with the CEO and Head of HR for Life Sciences ensuring the delivery of change management, organizational design, and leadership development strategies.

Previously, Jonelle held a number of senior leadership roles across several other GE businesses including Healthcare IT, Medical Diagnostics and Diagnostic Imaging. In each of these positions, Jonelle played a key role in the successful implementation of the HR Transformation, leadership and execution of multiple mergers & acquisitions as well as a focused strategy for developing the HR talent of the future.

Jonelle earned a Masters of Human Resources & Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and was the recipient of the Carlson Scholarship. She also has a Bachelors of Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College. Jonelle previously served on the Board of Send Hunger Packing Princeton for three years.
