Monica Panetta (Past Speaker)

Monica Panetta, SPHR, HCS has over a decade of multi-faceted human resources experiences specializing in life sciences, startup and growth mode companies. She is the Head of Human Resources for the Americas at LifeScan, a diabetes care company that is responsible for the OneTouch Brand. Prior to joining LifeScan, Monica was the Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Compliance Officer at Genomind Inc., an award-winning, personalized medicine Company that brings innovation to mental healthcare through genetic testing. Monica oversees all aspects of human capital strategy, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance for close to 300 employees. Monica was recently selected as the 2018 Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year.

Genomind was recognized with multiple (16) awards in 2016, 2017, and 2018 ranging from Best Places to Work to Emerging Healthcare Company of the Year.  Monica spearheaded all recognition and employment brand initiatives as well as creation and evolution of the employment brand.

Prior to Genomind, Monica was the HR Manager at Genomind’s sister company, FirstLab, while simultaneously helping to build Genomind’s team and infrastructure. Under her careful eye and strategic hiring processes, Genomind experienced a 1,250% growth in human capital in just 2 years.

Monica’s previous positions include: HR and Training Manager for a mental health provider, Project Transition; HR Generalist for a telecommunications company, Finisar Corporation; and HR Assistant for a medical device company, Synthes. Monica is most proud of her ability to build high performing teams who are mission minded, and passionate about their profession. 

Monica earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Gwynedd Mercy University and was accepted into Villanova University’s Executive MBA program. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Human Capital Strategist Certification (HCS), working on her CPCO (Certified Professional Compliance Officer) certificate, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (Greater Valley Forge chapter), Philadelphia Society of  People and Strategy (PSPS), Life Sciences PA, and serves as Co-Founder of Life Science PA Human Capital Innovators Alliance.
