Telaireus “T.K.” Herrin (Past Speaker)

Telaireus “T.K.” Herrin, Psy.D. is an accomplished Human Resources Executive with more than 20 years of experience within the medical device, financial services and non-profit sectors.  Having a wide range of human resources expertise, he specializes in talent management, diversity and inclusion, executive coaching and organizational development. Currently, T.K. is the Vice President, for Inclusion and Diversity at Medtronic, based in Irvine, California.  Prior to Medtronic, he held HR leadership roles with Covidien, Edwards Lifesciences, Affinity Bank, Cal National Bank, The Aquarium of the Pacific and Wachovia Securities.

T.K. earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina and a Master of Science degree in Theological Studies with an emphasis in Systematic and Liberation Theology from Claremont School of Theology, a MA in Human Resources Design from the School of Behavioral and Organizational Sciences at Claremont Graduate University, and a doctorate (PsyD) in Organizational Development from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University.  Aligned with his passion for diverse and inclusive work environments, his dissertation research was on the career implications for gay men who are visible and out in their respective companies.  T.K. is sought out to speak and serve on various panels related to diversity and inclusion, including panels for the California Diversity Council, the ENP Institute, and the University of California at Irvine.  He is certified as both a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) through the Society of Human Resources Certification Institute.  Additionally, he is a member of the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD), the American Psychological Association (APA), the Organization Development Network (ODN), and the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
